Home of Carolina Circle Mall is Stepping into the Future

Please gather around the computer monitor for this one folks. This is heavy (Marty McFly moment for the day).

Since 2007, Home of Carolina Circle Mall has been quite successful. Although not as popular as my Carolina Circle City blog, Home of Carolina Circle Mall has had its share of moments the past three years online.

Well, the year is now 2010 and it is now a new decade; the 2010s. I've done a lot of thinking lately and I think that it is time for Home of Carolina Circle Mall to move on up.

This evening, I spent almost two hours on the phone with my YouTube friend Jeremy Lowery. Both of us came to an agreement and he is going to start hosting Home of Carolina Circle Mall on his own web server.
Since Home of Carolina Circle Mall's beginning in May 2007, the host/provider of the web service used for Home of Carolina Circle Mall has been Webs.com. While it was nice for awhile, it's become quite a headache recently. Loading speeds have been slow since the start, very poor security in the guestbook system, and just today, I had a terrible time uploading newspaper ads. Also, the $9 a month has become a pain as well.

Jeremy Lowery has offered me nearly unlimited storage (compared to Webs.com's 700MB storage limit), unlimited bandwidth, a website design software, and much more, all for free! He said it would be his honor to help preserve a piece of history known as Carolina Circle Mall. I thank him from the bottom of my heart. All of this is a dream come true. I am so glad to finally see Home of Carolina Circle Mall expand.

Also, Jeremy is going to help me in a total redesign of the website. This means that before long, expect a totally new layout scheme and template. The design that the site's using now has been used since November 2007.

The big transfer is going to occur sometime tomorrow (Sunday February 7, 2010). I'm not quite sure what to expect, if the transition will be sudden or not. However, the web address will remain the same and, for now, the design/layout will remain the same. But nevertheless, Home of Carolina Circle Mall is finally stepping into the future!

Welcome to the New Carolina Circle City

You've probably already noticed some pretty major changes to Carolina Circle City. Well, let me explain.

I've been trying to make some changes to Carolina Circle City that just wouldn't work with the old template, so I decided to change it to this. Besides, all of those circles in the background make sense.

I also made some changes to the emblem.

If you have an suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

What do you think? I needed to post this so I could update all of my links on the other blogs and Home of Carolina Circle Mall.

Silence is Over!

I was getting worried, but I finally repaired the problem. I'm not real sure what I did to cure this blog. I was just playing around with the templet to get it to work, and it started to work.

You've probably noticed that there is now a new web address. Please tell everyone you know about the change.

Anyway, welcome back to Carolina Circle City!

Some Minor Changes

I've been playing around with the new Blogger Beta lately, and I've made a few slight cosmetic changes to Carolina Circle City.

The upgrade has alowed me to have a dedication and slogan. You've probably already noticed that Carolina Circle City's new slogan is "From Ice Rinks to Carousels to Wal-Marts". The reason for that slogan is that this blog is dedicated to the past, present, and future of Carolina Circle Mall.

Welcome to the New Carolina Circle City

When you accessed this site a second ago, you might have noticed something a little different. Okay pretty different. Okay a lot different.

As the motto states, this blog is dedicated to Carolina Circle Mall. I felt the template of the blog should sort of match the mall as well. Remember the 1988 renovation? Think of this new new style as a technical version of the 1988 renovation. This will now be known as the Carolina Circle City Renovation of 2006. I tried to choose a template that looked the most like the mall. This one I think depicts the mall's interior design.

The Current Wal-Mart Status and Virtual Carolina Circle Features have been temporarly removed until I can complete the transition. In road terms, this blog is still under construction.

This is new addition number 1 of the 2006 Roadgeek BlogRing Improvement. Expect some new stuff on this blog and the other two soon.
