Belk 1

Kind of depressing to look at all the graffiti in this picture, but this is the main mall entrance to Belk in 2005.

This is a picture of the inside of Belk in 2004. Sad looking at all that careless graffiti.

The Belk mall entrance in July 1996.

Keep in mind that in May of 1994, the lower level of Belk became a post office, hence the sign directing shoppers to the upper level entrance in this picture; Greensboro News & Record.

Belk Pictures

Apparently, that "Going Out Of Business" banner was left over from the Carolina Flea Market.

One of the main things I associate this Belk store with. Ever since I was little, I've always liked those mega tinted entrances.

I believe this was the garden center.

Carolina Flea Market: Dogs Keep Out

The Carolina Flea Market was a small weekend flea market that worked out of the Second Floor of the Carolina Circle Mall Belk from I believe 2002-2003.

During the first few months of the flea market, if you walked up to the former mall entrance, you could see the empty Carolina Circle Mall corridor with the closed Shalimar Photography, Payless Electronics. Billy, why didn't you bring a camera? Unfortunately, it was later covered with a black tarp covering the rotting mall interior. That was the best part of the Flea Market.

The Flea Market didn't have very much. The only thing I ever bought was some Hershey's Ice Cream. Hershey's is the best ice cream! They had some stands selling old NASCAR toys, some computers, some video tapes, maybe some DVD's, and some apparal.

The Flea Market's design didn't result in a complete store overhall. It kept the same design the former Belk had like the restrooms, the wallpaper, and the floors.

In conclusion, the Carolina Flea Market wasn't as good as the one up the highway from it. The only reason I went there was to see look out the big glass and see the Carolina Circle Mall.
