Carolina Flea Market: Dogs Keep Out

The Carolina Flea Market was a small weekend flea market that worked out of the Second Floor of the Carolina Circle Mall Belk from I believe 2002-2003.

During the first few months of the flea market, if you walked up to the former mall entrance, you could see the empty Carolina Circle Mall corridor with the closed Shalimar Photography, Payless Electronics. Billy, why didn't you bring a camera? Unfortunately, it was later covered with a black tarp covering the rotting mall interior. That was the best part of the Flea Market.

The Flea Market didn't have very much. The only thing I ever bought was some Hershey's Ice Cream. Hershey's is the best ice cream! They had some stands selling old NASCAR toys, some computers, some video tapes, maybe some DVD's, and some apparal.

The Flea Market's design didn't result in a complete store overhall. It kept the same design the former Belk had like the restrooms, the wallpaper, and the floors.

In conclusion, the Carolina Flea Market wasn't as good as the one up the highway from it. The only reason I went there was to see look out the big glass and see the Carolina Circle Mall.

Seeing the inside of the mall would be reason enough to go to a crappy flea market for me too.
