Here is another shot of the food court, this time the back portion sometime around January 1991. The Tilt Arcade can be seen in the corner.

Gatto Pizza and Circle Café & Deli had not opened yet at this time. If anyone knows when these two places opened, particularly Circle Café & Deli, please let me know. I am quite curious.

Not sure who these folks are, but this is a picture of the mall’s food court and Carousel in I believe January 1991. Amazing how well the mall would light up at nighttime.

This is a racecar display outside the mall’s food court sometime in 1995, possibly February. Part of the Carousel can be seen in the background. If only I could get a close-up shot of the food court when it was still open.

Lately, I’ve been fortunate enough to discover some more pictures of the mall, thanks to generous donations and the new search tool on Facebook. Because of this, I have decided to bring back the Picture of the Day. Plus, I really need to bring action back to this blog.

This particular picture was taken sometime in the 1980s. This was the back entrance to the mall where Piccadilly Cafeteria and the Circle Six Theatres were. I remember entering the mall quite a bit through here.

Monk’s Under Construction 1989

From that newscast I posted earlier, here are a couple of screenshots of the outside of Monk’s Cheesesteaks from November 16, 1989 when it was under construction. It would open in June 1990.

This was taken sometime in November 1976. I had always wondered what this sign looked like before the 1987/1988 renovation.
