I've always considered Carolina Circle Mall a roadgeek mall. I'm going to explain about the roads near the mall and the roads that will come in the future.
Ring Road: This road circled around the mall. Maybe the reason the road circle around the mall was because the mall was called Carolina "Circle" Mall. Anyway, the signposts seemed to be make out of wood. If I can, I'll get a picture of one of those. Ring Road was the main access to the mall. You pretty much had to get on it to go to the mall. You accessed Ring Road via these little access roads. I think there were three. One from Cone Blvd and two from 16th Street. Currently the only section of Ring Road that is open to traffic is from Cone Blvd to a little bit pass the old Craftsmen's Studio.
The Wal-Mart shopping center will bring new roads to the mall area.
Spline Road: Spline Road will start from the old Ring Road/Cone Blvd access road to the old Ring Road/Cone Blvd access road. This road will actually cut through the former mall. It will run through near Dillard's and the ice rink/carousel.
New Ring Road: Basically, it will carry on the allignment of the first Ring Road except it will begin at Wal-Mart and end at the supposed home improvement store in the northeastern quadrant. It will intersect with Spline Road.
I can tell you one thing. Carolina Circle Mall was a roadgeek and will always be a roadgeek.

Ring Road was a cool access route. It was one of the first circular mall routes around here and probably the nicest.
