The Grand Opening

The day everyone has been waiting for has come. At 7:30 AM, the new Wal-Mart at the former spot of Carolina Circle Mall opened its doors to the public.

Of course, I was there. Unfortunately, I didn't get there until a little after noon. But the party still seemed to be in full swing. We were lucky to find a place to park. However when we got in there, it was easy to get around through. It was crowded, but not too bad.

I took about 12 pictures inside and out. Outside of the Tire & Lube Center, what I believe was the band from A&T University was playing. I took a few pictures of them.

When I was about to leave, I noticed someone very familiar at the Food Center entrance/exit. It was Hostess Twinkie the Kid. I was able to take two pictures of him.

The Wal-Mart was fantastic. It had everything like Woodforest Bank, McDonald's, hair salon, nail salon, tire & lube center, and etc. I'll probably go back again once the crowds simmer down.

You can see the rest of my pictures here.

I don't usually get excited about new Wal-Marts, but I love this one!
