Here's an article from WFMY News 2 about what's coming to the new Shoppes at Pyramids Village. Along with the Wal-Mart is a Lowe's Home Improvement, IHOP, Subway, and many more.
Also, I read in the paper Sunday that if Lowe's doesn't move into the old K-Mart shopping center, a new movie theater might be built there. The area might get its second movie theater since the Carolina Circle Six.
Just to let you know, this may be an entirely new setup and a new name, but to me, that area next to US-29 is and always be Carolina Circle Mall. It just won't have an ice rink, carousel, or Montgomery Ward. There will be no Carolina Circle/Pyramids Village City.
