After over three years of Carolina Circle Mall research, I still can't figure out an uncertain time in the mall's life.

In 1987, Strouse Greenberg began renovating the mall sometime around June of 1987. That's established.

However, the rest of 1987 (even early 1988) is a very weird era. It is not known what the center attraction was, if any.

What I do know from what people have told me, the mall corridor was an awful awful mess during this time.

I will simply call this the Renovation Era.
