I found this about a month ago.
This is from the June 3, 1988 Greensboro News & Record. Nice use of that crescent emblem.
Apparently, this was immediately after the renovation took place because this ad has the crescent emblem and the familiar post-renovation "Carolina Circle Font". Also, this is from the same month the renovation was officially completed.
